Body circulation-
- Left
side of heart pumps oxygen-rich blood to arteries, which carries the
blood to all body parts.
- Blood
from the arties enter the capillaries. In there, oxygen and food move
to cells and the waste gas, carbon dioxide move into blood, blood
enters veins.
- Veins
carry blood with carbon dioxide to the right side of heart. Then it
pumps blood to the lungs.
- In
the lungs blood picks up oxygen and then gives off carbon dioxide.
Then blood moves from the left side of the heart. Then it all starts
over again.
Heart circulation-
1.Between hearts beats the
heart rests and both atriums fill up with blood.
2. When the atriums
contracts, blood is forced through a one-way opening. The right and left
atrium pumps blood to the right and left ventricle.
3. When the ventricle’s contract,
blood is pumped to the lungs by the right ventricle and to the rest of the
body by the left.
The body parts are included-
the heart, veins, arteries, lungs and blood vessels
What
system needs to work properly –
The circulatory system needs the heart,
veins, arteries, oxygen, blood, and red blood cells (exercise, eat healthy
and rest)
Interesting
facts or information-
Blood is 3 to 4 times thicker than water.
Synonym for red blood cell is
erythrocytes.
The heart is hollow.
How the
system prevents diseases-
All the immune cells travel through the
blood stream to attack germs. (Virus, bacteria, etc.)
