How
it Works- Gets
rid of body wastes. Sweat glands release waste materials through skin
pores. Lungs get rid of carbon dioxide, water vapors, and other materials
through coughing and exhaling. A kidneys act as a recycling system for the
blood. Tiny balls of capillilaries are packed inside kidneys and act as a
pressure filter for the blood. The recycled blood comes out as urine. An
artery and vein bring blood to the kidney. Nerves in skin sense pressure
and pain. Oil glands in skin make it water proof. The kidneys remove less
water in blood if there’s less water in blood.
What
body parts-
skin: gets rid of sweat that has salts, and other waste materials in it.
Kidney: gets rid of water, salt, and other wastes in the blood. Bladder:
Holds urine until ready to dispose of. Lungs: gets rid of gas material
wastes.
System
needs to work properly: 1) drink plenty of water 2) exercise 3) get
enough sleep 4) eat healthy
How
it prevents diseases: releases wastes that could poison us, kidneys
recycle blood for later use, and sweat cools you down.
