I.                   Create a Navigation Table

A.       Insert a table

1.      Table à Insert à Table

2.      Specify Size and AutoFit Behavior  

B.       Format table to center cell contents

C.       Select Font

D.      Type in the headings for your web page in the table

E.       Select colors for hyperlinks and followed hyperlinks

1.      Format à Style à Hyperlink à Modify à Format à Font

2.      Format à Style à Followed Hyperlinkà Modify à Format à Font

II.                 Format Background

A.       Format à Background à Fill Effect à Gradient

1.      Select one color or two colors (use light colors)

2.      Select shading style

B.       Format à Background à Fill Effect à Texture

1.      Select one of the textures shown

2.      Select an image you have saved to your network folder

III.              Insert and Format Graphics

A.       Insert à Picture à Clip Art… or From File…

1.      You can search for images in Google or United Streaming

2.      Save the images to your network folder

B.       Format graphics

1.      After graphic is inserted, right-click on it

2.      Format picture à Layout à select the wrapping style and alignment

IV.              Insert Bookmarks

A.       Click in front of the first heading

1.      Insert à Bookmark

2.      Type in the name for this bookmark and press Enter

B.       Repeat the steps in A. for each heading and for Title at the top

V.                Hyperlink Navigation Table

A.       Highlight the first heading in your table at the top

B.       Click the hyperlink icon on the tool bar (or right-click highlighted heading and click Hyperlink)

C.       Click “Place in this document”

D.      Select bookmark

E.       Repeat for each heading in table and ‘Back to Top’

VI.              Save as Web Page

A.       File à Save As Web Page

B.       Type in file name and page title

C.       Save to your network folder
